I've begun working on chess piece files for lost pla casting (using Blender) as time allows. Here is the first, a rook.
Going to go for a sand pour, or sand/plaster molds and burn the PLA out first?
I'm not sure. Probably a sand pour?

Also here is the pawn, knight, and bishop.
I wasn't satisfied with the rook so I re-did it. I think this one is much better and fits with the sizing of the other pieces.
Assuming I can finish prototyping the bracket setup I'm working on, which should I print for Wednesday? And what settings? I assume thin wall and minimal interior support?

If you could print the re-done rook, that would be pretty slick. Thanks!

What scale is the file at? If I print as-is (1mm/square), it's about 2mm square and 4mm tall. Scaling to 1 inch/square makes it huge. 1/2 inch/square? Final part width?
I think 1/2 inch per square would be great. What is final part width?
An alternate way to determine scale.

Change of plans, I'll print it but I won't be there tomorrow. Was running a nasty fever last night and it's sticking around. Staying home to avoid being a plague spreader.
Awesome! Could make a good fundraiser project.
