I am in the process of completing (project well underway) an axial flux AC alternator/generator project. My goal is to develop a fully contained system that can reliably deliver 5 - 15 kwh of electrical power @(110-115 VAC). I have developed everything required to generate the AC power and charge a bank of batteries. There are a lot of inverter options (modified square wave, pure sine wave, off-grid, grid tied, etc) out there that can be purchased but I think it would be very interesting to design and build an efficient internal power option for the project. Is anyone interested in participating or does anyone have any experience or opinions on how difficult a DC/AC inverter (with all attendant safety concerns, etc.) is to develop and market, etc......
