As in Saturday? What times? I thought open-house was only on Wednesday. I might be too busy tomorrow, but given time I will definitely try.

Update: I see the Saturday hours on the main page now.

Glad you found the hours there. The hours are also at the top of this page in the announcements. More of an FYI for anyone else reading this too.
Hope to meet you soon. Smile

RE: Hello: my name is... - Dmytro - 11-23-2016

Hello,

I am Dmytro (Dmitriy) and am from Post Falls. I work in the Spokane Valley though, whcih is just 15 minutes of driving. I am a full time dental lab technician. Do lot's of dentures, partials, denture repaisr, relines, etc.. Love my job since I work with my hands and it allows me to create! This field is a perfect mix of science+medicine+art, whcih in combination makes an interesting, not very repetative job.

As you can imagine it takes lots of machines to make a denture. Hydrocoloid machine, grinding mill, bench mill, polishing mill, ivo base machine, etc.

Glad to have found this site and looking forward to learning and networking!

Welcome to the forum, Dmitriy!

Your job sounds awesome. I wonder if you'd be willing/able/allowed to take some pictures of the machines you use and the work you do on them?

I'll look forward to meeting you at Create sometime soon.

Welcome!

Wow, 3 kids under 4! I have two kids under 4 (until tomorrow when my oldest turns 4) and I thought I was busy!  Spokane Create might need to start a day care. ;-)

Looking forward to meeting you when you are able to make it.

RE: Hello: my name is... - Valenfeel - 05-25-2017

I used to work for HotStart MFG in the valley doing a lot of wirecutting, stripping, soldering etc. Was looking for a makerspace that might have some solder materials I could use to repair my headphones! Is this the right place? It sure looks like it! Smile Can anyone just drop in on Saturdays? I'm flying out for a trip, so if I can come in at 10am, solder some wires to the new plugs, that'd be sweet! How much do you charge?

RE: Hello: my name is... - n8cutler - 05-26-2017

Welcome @Valenfeel! Yes, this is the right place. We have soldering materials. Everyone is welcome during open hours, come on in at 10 on Saturday. We run on donations, so just come in to solder...no charge!

Hello, I am Spencer Metz.

I am a student at EWU currently studying Computer Science. I was part of the FIRST FRC program during high school and built a racing drone over the summer. Nice to meet you all.
