RE: 3D Printer recommendations - ctcollins9 - 09-14-2015 One thing to note: I cannot tell you how much I wish I had used my dremel tool to make all of the screw holes on the plastic parts big enough for the screws to slide through easily. And, if I were you, I would go ahead and buy a E3D v6 hotend, or a v6 lite, they are very nice and make a big difference in prints, which was a suprise to me. RE: 3D Printer recommendations - Prozach - 10-09-2015 Kind of late to the game on this thread. I have a custom Prusa i3 I sourced and built in 2013. I second ctcollins9 on the E3d. Best hotend around and they are a great company. Buy extra nozzles for whatever hotend you end up with. I learned the hard way this weekend that Glow in the Dark filament is cool as hell but also very abrasive. Now I have to wait for new nozzles to show up. Anyone else using octoprint? |
