FPGA Project - dfockler - 01-30-2013

I would be interested in getting my FPGA up and running, it can do lots of cool stuff, and has space to control additional hardware. If anyone is interested let me know.

What FPGA board do you have? I just got an XESS XuLA-200, I was going to use it for a spinning POV display but the project kind-of stalled.

I have an Altera DE0 it has a Cyclone III chip on it. I used it in school for Verilog programming. That POV display sounds pretty cool. For school we wrote a Tron Light Cycle type game on it.

Whats a good inexpensive FPGA to get started with?

If you want a really simple board, the Xess XuLA-200 might be a good choice.

If you want a board that has a few more features:

What are you thinking of doing with it?

Possibly motion controller for linuxCNC.

but would also be nice to have just to learn so I can find a project for it Smile
