Arduino Controlled Musical Floppies!
I decided this needed some documentation, so here it is. I have my own personal system, and the group has a system. I will be linking videos to both. All concepts are the same.

I began by wiring all the drives. They require 2 wires each for 8 floppies. For those who have been with the project, we only used 7. Tomorrow I will add one final drive. For power, a 5 volt supply with at least 3 amps is required. To hook up, simply wire 11(GND) and 12 (EN) together with a jumper, enabling the drive. skip 4 pins and wire a lead to the next 4, the top two being direction and step. These go to the controller. The bottom two are ground and can be commoned with all others. 5 volts is supplied to the 4 pin header. Pins 2-13 digital and 0-3 analog are used as inputs in pairs starting with 2 and 3. Moppy is then uploaded to the host PC and the arduino and all is connected to power and the USB connected to the PC. Moppy is ran and a midi file and com port selected. Then hit play and enjoy!

As always, come down and have a play around with it! Maybe we have some composers who would want to play their piece or make one for the system.
