This Wednesday December 18th - Cloud Chamber
Tomorrow I am going to bring as much stuff as I can so we can try and build a cloud chamber!
http://www.lns.cornell.edu/~adf4/cloud.html I have an aquarium, 91% Isopropyl Alcohol, and some felt. Hopefully we can document the build and take some cool pictures/video if you have any radioactive rocks, or anything cool we can experiment with, please bring it down.

RE: This Wednesday December 18th - Cloud Chamber
unfortunately it failed, my hypothesis is that I didn't have enough dry ice to properly cool the size of chamber that we had.
but we still got to play with dry ice! this will be a good project to try again shortly

Two magnetron magnets out of old microwave ovens might work so that charged particles like protons, alpha and beta can be easily identified.
