CNC Software Class
09-20-2017, 06:51 PM,
CNC Software Class
Class Name: CNC Software
Class Date: Tuesday, October 03, 2017
Class Time: Doors Open at 5:30pm the class will be from 6 to 9 pm.

Spokane Create will have the first software class for our new CNC machine on Tuesday, October 03, 2017. We will be demonstrating how to generate tool paths in VCarve Pro and then how to run the tool paths in Mach 3 on our CNC machine. Being our first class we are limiting the class to our regular users at Spokane Create with more classes planned for the near future.

How to participate.
We are using VCarve Pro Makerspace Edition for the design software on our CNC. You can download and install the trail edition of the software from the Vectric site. When visiting Spokane Create we will give you our makerspace license number so you'll be able to generate and save toolpaths for our CNC machine only. You can download the VCarve Pro Trail Edition here:

Our focus for the class will be toolpaths, Vectric has many tutorials for using the VCarve software and we are referring users to the Vectric site for more basic instructions. You'll find VCarve to be an easy to use program for creating designs for the CNC. Here's the link to the Vectric tuts:

The VCarve Pro software can be installed on your computer and if you have a laptop please bring it with you. We will also have the software installed on our laptops here at Spokane Create.

Any questions, please post to the forum.
