3D Printer
One of the projects that we want to create is a 3D Printer for use by anyone in SC. This thread can exist as a place to start a discussion for the printer, although I would like to move it into a wiki at a later point.
Based on discussions from our meetings, I think that we want to develop a printer that is robust, repeatable, and that can create good quality parts. Here is a link to a new development in Germany, to kick off discussion: http://kuehlingkuehling.de/ |

An issue with liquid resin is that it degrades faster because of inherent UV properties, so it may not be the material of choice for mechanical parts that are exposed to sunlight. |
