Chess pieces
I've begun working on chess piece files for lost pla casting (using Blender) as time allows. Here is the first, a rook.

RE: Chess pieces
Going to go for a sand pour, or sand/plaster molds and burn the PLA out first?

RE: Chess pieces
I'm not sure. Probably a sand pour?
Also here is the pawn, knight, and bishop. |

RE: Chess pieces
I wasn't satisfied with the rook so I re-did it. I think this one is much better and fits with the sizing of the other pieces.

Assuming I can finish prototyping the bracket setup I'm working on, which should I print for Wednesday? And what settings? I assume thin wall and minimal interior support?

RE: Chess pieces
I think 1/2 inch per square would be great. What is final part width?

RE: Chess pieces
An alternate way to determine scale.
Change of plans, I'll print it but I won't be there tomorrow. Was running a nasty fever last night and it's sticking around. Staying home to avoid being a plague spreader. |
